What's On My Heart

Here's the deal... I have always been a bad secret keeper. I am a great confidant, but when it comes to honesty and being a transparent person, well, let's just say I cannot beat around the bush. I bring forward the truth. And as you are the community of people I write to and share my heart with, I believe you deserve the same crystalline treatment.

I CANNOT WAIT for my next book to come out (hopefully this year around Mother's Day-fingers crossed!) The book is titled, A Place of Grace for Moms of Littles: Live Sanctified and Set Free Through Christ in the Midst of Crazy Busy Mom Life. It is being published by Ambassador International. The book elevates moms to the playing field of grace, so they are better able to walk in freedom and experience true sanctification through Christ. I hope it blesses your heart and breathes a fresh wind of Truth into you that whispers Jesus' name. Please pray for this book y'all! If you want to join the Facebook Launch Group, I would appreciate it: A Place of Grace Launch Group

There will be a corresponding devotional published after this book comes out. Date TBD

I am also working on something brand new that I am over the moon about. <3

I am a busy mama so these little wins go a long way for me.

Now onto some truth!

XOXO -Alex

P.S. Hang in there Mama! I know you are doing a great job.

Prayer Changes Things

In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.

Exodus 15:13

These are the words of Moses, proclaimed through a song of praise after crossing the Red Sea. Moses’ faith was set on fire through the experience of this miracle. God wants to set our faith on fire through the divine provision of his holy presence, each day.

Because of God’s unfailing love, he leads us. He guides us. He goes before us. In motherhood and in life, the Lord God is our sanctuary. He wraps his arms lovingly around us.

When we seek Christ’s strength to cover us in ways we fall short, his presence envelops us. His grace shields us from the harsh elements of this life: disappointments, feeling unseen, wondering if our constant care truly matters. God wants to step in and be our beacon of light. Because of the life of Jesus, we can live appointed, seen, and purpose filled lives.

Jesus’ presence changes things. It changes how we look at our lives. It changes our attitudes. It adds the essence of gentleness to our words and tones. It calms our reactions, enables us to think rationally, and gifts us with the element of patience. God’s presence flows through our veins when we invite Jesus into our daily lives through prayer.

Jesus’ presence transforms the things within us that were once engulfed in a sea of darkness to be surrounded by Christ’s shimmering light. May we never discount the power of prayer, because we can never deny the fact that the presence of Jesus lights up our lives. When we pray, we invite Jesus’ presence to abide in our lives and enhance our inner beauty for his glory.

God delights in our prayers. He delights in our desperate need to know him more fully, and follow after him more faithfully.

God wants to lead us in a sanctification process that draws us into his warm love and embrace.

Our inner beauty shines when the radiance of Christ’s holy presence is illuminated in our lives through prayer.

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for your love that reaches down from Heaven and kindles my heart. Thank you for your presence that fills me to the brim and gives me a reason for hope and joy in this life. I praise you for the gift of prayer. Being able to experience communion with you constantly is such a gift. Help me to seek your face, always. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

Steps of Faith:

  • The following verses highlight the power of prayer:

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. Romans 8:26

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
